Curtis: The Osage (corrupted from Whzahzae, their own name) is a Siouan
tribe - the wealthiest of all Indians, and probably the richest people
in the world, population considered. They are most closely related to the
Omaha, Quapaw, Ponca, and Kansa, with whom they once formed a single body.
