SUMMARY
Description by Edward S. Curtis: The Osage (corrupted from Whzahzae, their own name) is a Siouan tribe - the wealthiest of all Indians, and probably the richest people in the world, population considered. They are most closely related to the Omaha, Quapaw, Ponca, and Kansa, with whom they once formed a single body.
